Changing the walls is CHEAPER than changing the furniture

The main reason for this blog is not just to show my work, but actually to show how easy and cheap is to change one room.
Forget about new furnitures, carpets, flower pots, ... those ones cost a lot, you cannot find them easily and if you get fed up you cannot change them. But you can have a better alternative for your house just changing the walls!!
I mean, just doing some work on the wall; it can either be just a new colour or creating a new design. And the best is: you can do it any time and doesn't cost much.

Everyone has one perception of life, due to it everyone has one colour, and this colour shows who you are.

Here, I would like to show diferent ideas that we can have with Suvinil Products:

Disc: Create your own desing with any tool, for example the brush we use to wash shoes.

Apply the texture on the wall and while it is still wet, make some arc moviment on it with your tool. On it you can apply any product with any colour.

Scratches: Cut one plastic bottle and make a shape of "zig-zag" on it.



Apply the texture on the wall and while it is still wet, scratch the wall in different directions (as shown in the picture) with your new tool. On it you can apply any product with any colour.

How to do STRAIGHT STRIPS

It's possible to do a different thing on the wall just using masking-tape and emulsion, for example STRIPS.
The emulsion can be matt, satin or even semi-gloss finish, just the colours must match with each other.

To make your strips straight on the wall there's no secret.
Instead of just putting the masking tape there and apply the paint on it, we need to be careful with the quality of the finish that we would like to have on that wall.
If we apply directly the paint with a different colour on the area that we put the masking tape on, we are not going to have a straight line, because this paint will enter in between the masking tape and the wall. To avoid this issue, we aply first on the edges of the masking tape, the same paint that we used as background, then this one will fill all the gaps in between the masking tape and the wall.

After this application dries we can start the second application with colours on the wall, and these ones are not going to be in the gaps, because it is already filled.

Here we have the example of this beautiful application:

1st step - Masking Tape on the wall and paint on its edges.

 

2nd step - After it dries we can come and apply the colours:

3rd step - Just take off the masking tape, and be surprised by your perfect and straight strips:
